In this video I discuss the reasons behind why I choose to scale my dog's teeth at home; simple anatomy of the dog's mouth; general guidelines for maintaining healthy teeth in your dog; and basic concepts related to performing this procedure. HOWEVER, if your dog has signs of advanced periodontal disease, please have a veterinarian professionally clean your dog's teeth under anesthesia, not only for the comfort of your dog, but for the highest chance of salvaging his teeth!
