Enduro. Endurance, perseverance, intensity, strength, discipline, mindset, skill. Mud, sweat, and gears. These are all parts of what makes this series special. I started racing this year for two reasons, number one, honestly to measure up. Ego driven. I want to be faster than YOU! I felt like I was improving so signing up for racing would naturally carry that momentum.. and it did. Number two... even before racing, it was the people I meet on trails, in parking lots, out and about that share this desire to pedal in the woods. I love it. These events just brought all of those people to one place and it is RAD! I loved meeting all of you, not a single person excluded. SO THANK YOU!
As for Predator... With the clouds closing in fast to what was a surprisingly great weather day despite some rain earlier on, my group made it to the top and suited up to drop in. Predator was rowdy and wet, the dirt was pretty grippy though. Shortly after dropping in I say,"OW!" That was me smashing my pinky toe on a rock, it is purple and brown now.. should get that looked at.. anyway, I really sent it in places. The rock wall was fast especially with all the people cheering, definitely turned up for that. Also I hope my passing etiquette was fair, thanks for pulling over. Fantastic finish to an unforgettable season. I finished 2nd place here at my home mountain and 2nd overall in the expert 30-39 class. Hope to see you on the trails soon, YEewww!
