⁉️Can We Fit 4 Generators in This Engine Room?

Templating Tangaroa’s engine room is the first real test of our hybrid electric conversion. Four generators and two massive lithium battery banks sound good on paper — but will they physically fit in a 78-foot aluminum yacht?

Before installing anything permanent, we build full-scale mockups to test clearances, service access, spacing, and overall layout for this marine hybrid power system. Proper engine room planning is critical in any hybrid electric yacht build. Weight distribution, ventilation, maintenance access, and system efficiency all depend on getting this right.

With Brent guiding us remotely, we shift the generator and battery templates around to see if this hybrid-electric design works at this scale. This is where theory meets real-world boat engineering.
