Kawasaki Engine: Cold Starting Technique For The Winter

Описание к видео Kawasaki Engine: Cold Starting Technique For The Winter

In this video I show you my technique to cold start a stubborn 25 year old Kawasaki FC420V in a John Deere 240. It's a great engine but it sat for about a month in below freezing weather making it very hard to start. I picked a warm day and decided to give it a try and make a video on it. I like to start the engine in increments. I crank the engine for 5-6 seconds being careful not to give it too much choke. Then I will wait 10-15 seconds and crank it again. I repeat this process until I smell gas. When I smell gas I know the engine is flooded and I wait about 5 minutes. Then I will try again to start it using the same technique as before. Eventually it will start. The engine is much easier to get going if I start it every few days in the winter. Thanks for watching! Please rate, comment, or subscribe. If you choose to perform these tips on your engine, it is at your own risk!
