This is NOT What We Expected in NEW JERSEY!! A Perfect Day in Cape May (RVing East Coast Roadtrip)

The next state on our East Coast roadtrip is The Garden State of New Jersey... I had always thought of big cities when I pictured NJ, but now I see how the state got it's nickname. Driving through the state, we saw lots of farms and small towns... it was beautiful!

We chose Cape May as our desitination in New Jersey and am so glad we did! We pulled into town early so lucked up with parking for Elly in the downtown area. We walked to the Washington Street Mall which is all outdoors and pedestrian only. There are lots of cute shops, candy makers, bakerys and restaurants.

Venturing towards the beach we saw some of the hundreds of preserved Victorian houses. Cape May has the most historically preserved homes on the Eastern Seashore. You feel like you are in a Hallmark movie!!

Down at the beach, we were able to catch a large group of surfers. I did not think we would see people surfing becuase it was 1) COLD and 2) I didn't think there would be big enough waves here... but we were wrong and saw some aswesome surfing!!
