Journey to Freedom: Exhibition Tour (Speaking of Delaware...)

Описание к видео Journey to Freedom: Exhibition Tour (Speaking of Delaware...)

Come inside the Journey to Freedom exhibition at the Jane and Littleton Mitchell Center for African American Heritage. The Journey to Freedom exhibition tells the story of the African American experience in Delaware, from the earliest day of New Sweden through centuries of struggle and perseverance. Learn about Antoni Swartz, an enslaved man also known as 'Black Antoni', attorney Louis L. Redding, who took the Delaware Board of Education to Court, or prominent artists like Delaware poet laureate Al Mills and Namdi Chukocha. The Mitchell Center collects, studies, and preserves the history and heritage of Delaware's African American community.
