Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Dexter Fortress Threaded Aluminum Oil Cap. That's right, an aluminum oil cap. This guy is rated from 10,000 to 16,000 pound axles and it's gonna replace the oil cap O-ring and plug for the Dexter, Valcrum, and Lippert axles. I'll put those on numbers on the screen for you. Now this does have a nice black retainer ring that's gonna shield the viewing lens here, so you got those three little divots there, whatever you wanna call 'em, blocking that viewing shield against damage, so nothing should be able to get in there and break that.

You got your center rubber plug there. And the cap can function either as a grease or oil cap, but predominantly it's mainly used for an oil cap. You've got a plug here. Makes it a lot easier to add oil if you need to. Everything's threaded like normal and you got the O-ring on there.

Overall diameter is four inches all the way to this outside lip. Again, it's a five year warranty. It does work, again, with 10,000 through 16,000 pound axles. Now I wanna show you an expanded view of this real quick, just so you have an idea of everything that's included here, how it's built by Dexter, and whatnot. So a very, very nice, nice cast aluminum, very, very nice design.

It's definitely an upgrade from the plastic ones you're used to seeing all these years. I'm super excited about these. I'm seen 'em in person multiple times here at etrailer. They're very, very nice to have. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at these threaded aluminum oil caps.
