IMMORTALS: WHY WERE ENOCH AND ELIJAH TAKEN TO HEAVEN WITHOUT DYING?

Why did God take Enoch and Elijah to heaven without them dying? How did Enoch and Elijah go to heaven? The Bible cites two unique cases of individuals who were "taken up" alive, bypassing the experience of death: Enoch and Elijah.

These men lived in different eras and under contrasting circumstances but met the same fate. Enoch existed before the Great Flood, and his narrative is sparingly detailed in Genesis. Elijah was a prophet during Israel's monarchy, battling idol worship endorsed by Queen Jezebel.
