Описание к видео Captain James E. Fanell, U.S. Navy (Ret.) - Discusses Australia's nuclear-powered submarines & China

Geneva Centre for Security Policy's Jim Fanell former Director of Intelligence and Information Operations for the U.S. Pacific Fleet, says he expects China to continue on with the “trajectory they’ve been on for the last two decades”. It comes following Thursday's announcement of the new AUKUS alliance with the UK and US, which will provide Australia with nuclear-powered submarines. “China’s been threatening the region, there’s no question about that, your former prime minister said that China’s a land power, well he may need to go back and do some more research because China has become a major naval power,” Mr Fanell told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “And that trajectory, it doesn’t look like it’s going to decline, it’s continuing to grow. “They will use this announcement as a chance to beat up all three nations and say that they’re the aggressors, but the reality is China has been the aggressor in the maritime domain over the last 20 years and it’s growing every day.” Geneva Centre for Security Policy’s Jim Fanell says he expects China to continue on with the “trajectory they’ve been on for the last two decades”.
