A tiny dot of an island amid the South Pacific, Wakaya lies in the heart of Fiji. A nation made up of 333 islands located 1,500 miles from the coast of Australia. Tropical and idyllic, it spans 2,200 acres of pristine beaches, ocean, lagoons, and cliffs and is part of the Lomaiviti Group situated in the Koro Sea due east of Viti Levu. Guests land at Nadi International Airport and then are transferred to Wakaya's private luxury aircraft. Nadi is a 40-minute flight to Wakaya, and transfer service is also available from Nausori Airport, a 15-minute flight.

The Wakaya Club & Spa is proud to re-open after renovations prompted by Cyclone Winston and a change in leadership in 2016. Lead by Mexican designer Bibiana Huber, the Wakaya team utilized beautiful wood from the fallen trees of Wakaya, with the most delicate quality fabrics, to create a seamless environment bridging nature and luxury. In addition, we offer an exclusive line of 10 guest bures (pronounced boo-rays, Fijian for cabin/structure) and two private villas.

Wakaya prides itself on being one of the best culinary destinations in the South Pacific. Eighty percent of the ingredients are locally grown or raised on the island or in the surrounding sea.
