Like Ralph Vaughan-Williams, I too have had Composer friends, who meant as much to me as Gustav Holst did to him. We both know the value of such deeply held acquaintances, for it is great to share inspiration and encouragment as we develop our crafts. So here am I, close to my locality, paying homage to this great British Composer, by visiting the place of his birth. Ralph's father, Alfred was vicar at All Saints Church, Down Ampney and Ralph was christened at the font. Let's explore together - you from your 'silver surfing' sofa? @HimInChurch
