Whether you spell it Chanukah, Hanuka, or the most accepted Hanukkah, it's important to both Jews and Christians. Jesus celebrated Hanukkah - The Feast of Dedication in John 10:20-23.

More and more Christians are recognizing the Jewish roots of their faith in Messiah Jesus, and understand that God has a continuing relationship with the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is gratifying for those of us who are actually Jewish and have come to faith in Messiah. In the 2019 session of the Ariel Ministries Shoshanah School of Messianic Studies, I taught on current Jewish Holy Days and practice, giving the facts and dispelling rumors. This has become more even more important as entertainers like Kanye West and YouTube influencers spout nonsensical lies and demonstrate their full ignorance about the overall facts of basic world history, and distort and lie about Jewish History and practices. This is what the Nazis did, and with these influencers taking captive simple minds, the facts need to go out there. Part of our ministry is to combat racist anti-semitism in whatever form it takes.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Mottel Baleston was born into a Jewish home in New York City and attended Jewish and public schools there. He came to faith in Messiah Jesus after reading the Messianic prophecies in the Jewish Bible. He is Director of the "MESSENGERS OF THE NEW COVENANT", communicating the Good News of Messiah to the Jewish community, discipling Jewish believers and educating Christians concerning the Jewish roots of their faith. He has served as Messianic Rabbi of a Congregation in New Jersey, as well as a Hebrew class instructor. His articles appear in Ariel Magazine, and his teaching videos on several online venues.
