Removing Mercury Outboard To Fix Power Trim

This is not a how-to. I know there are other ways to access the trim assembly and get it off the outboard with out removing it from the boat. I did it this way because it was what I was most comfortable with. Have a nice day!

Buying a used boat certainly comes with its issues. I knew the trim motor would need to be replaced eventually, but I didn't except it to need to be replaced within the first few weeks of ownership. You live and learn... Crazy time crunch with this repair. I had a charter booked a in a couple days and this needed to get done asap! Of course with my luck I was thrown a curve ball in the form of a broken bolt, and this cost twice as much to fix and took twice the amount of time. This Mercury Outboard needs to go asap!
