A 600-hp three-cylinder paired to three electric motors, for a total output of 1700 hp. Clearly that wasn't ridiculous enough, because Koenigsegg went back to the drawing board and ripped out the three e-motors in favor of a new, single electric motor called Dark Matter. It's a six-phase unit that makes 800 hp and 922 lb-ft of torque on its own. Combined with the Tiny Friendly Giant inline-three, the Gemera makes 1400 hp and 1364 lb-ft of torque. Power gets to all four wheels via the nine-speed, seven-clutch Light Speed Transmission (LST) also found in the Jesko.

Things get even crazier. If 1400 hp somehow isn't satisfactory, buyers can opt to replace the 600-hp three-cylinder with the Jesko's 1500-hp twin-turbo V-8. When combined with the Dark Matter e-motor, total output jumps to a staggering 2300 hp and 2028 lb-ft of torque on E85 fuel, numbers Koenigsegg says are new records for a production car. According to Egg Registry, the V-8 is a $400,000 option.
