(IFM-Kering Fashion Sustainability Certificate 2024 Contribution Projects)

Issued by the IFM-Kering Sustainability Chair, the Fashion Sustainability Certificate is an interdisciplinary program bringing together 40 students selected for their motivation to work on a real-life impact project. Complementary to the sustainability-related courses taught in each of the school's programs, it offers students the opportunity to work for 6 months on a concrete project, enabling them to address one or more aspects of sustainability: social impact, solidarity, materials revaluation, circularity, eco-responsible products, participation and commitment. On March 28th, 2024, the 6 contributing projects developed by IFM students of Fashion Sustainability Certificate have been presented to a jury of fashion industry experts and leaders of partner associations (Jean-Marc Bellaiche, President of the Printemps Group, Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, Vice-President of UNICEF France, Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer at Kering,Guy Morgan, Sustainability Director, Fashion at Chanel, Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, CEO of Isabel Marant, Françoise Gaille, biologist, scientific advisor at the CNRS and President of the Ocean Sustainability Foundation, Pierre-Arnaud Grenade, CEO of Bash, Jean Hingray, Senator for the Vosges and member of the Commission for Culture, Education, Communication and Sport, Rosalie Mann, Founder and President of the No More Plastic Foundation, Pascal Morand, Executive President of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and Xavier Romatet, Dean of IFM).

OR Foundation x IFM Exchange Program
Kantamanto Market in Accra is the world’s largest second-hand market where 15 million garments land weekly. Young designers tirelessly transform this fashion waste into unique upcycled creations. Yet, their talent in circular economy is often overlooked.
The OR Foundation and IFM collaborate to bridge continents through a transformative exchange programs between IFM students and designers from the “INKUBE” program. The objective is to develop together a common vision of circular fashion where north and south is merging into a global community. With this aim, a group of students went to Ghana for a journey of immersive experience including workshops, trainings of upcycling processes, conversations on luxury and positioning of circular products. Designers paired with the IFM one’s will come shortly to Paris for the second part of the program. This will be the opportunity to share experience and create awareness through a dedicated pop up showcasing the artistry of Kantamanto’s upcyclers.
