Real Housewives of Cheshire's Katie Kane bravely displays her scars

She has been scarred following her battle with skin cancer twice.And Katie Kane, 43, showed off her marks when she joined her twin sister Rachel Lugo on Loose Women on Wednesday.The Real Housewives of Cheshire star bravely displayed her facial scars which were the result of the skin cancer on her face.Katie admitted she has been the target of cruel trolls and their nasty comments have hauntingly 'stayed' with her.  'Children are very cruel, people will say things to you and it does stay with you,' she told the Loose Women panel.The reality star confessed she has always been compared to her twin sister, even before her battle with skin cancer.  'I wouldn't say it's me comparing myself, people have done it throughout our lives. People compare, they say, "That's the pretty one".'  The blonde beauty candidly confessed the skin cancer on her face was the worst but she initially she thought it was Exma.'I'm terrified,' Katie admitted. 'I had a previous treatment in the hope I'd never have to have surgery. Twice the cancer has come back in this particular place.'I had it 11 years ago on my chest. It came on my face, this has been the worst one. This is basal cell carcinoma which is the most prominent one.'My business partner had skin cancer, she said I think you should get checked out because at the time I thought it was just Exma.' Rachel joined her sister to raise awareness about the impact of cancer on the person and their family.She revealed she used to go on the same holidays as her sister and they used the same oil to protect themselves from the blistering heat.'We share the same holidays. I did go on sunbeds, we used to use oil. We weren't as educated are we are now,' Rachel explained.'The skin is our largest organ. We're burning it and doing irreparable damage. We lost our mother and our grandmother to cancer. 'We're twins but there's one twin that's the stronger one and I wish I could have taken it away from her.'
