Katana Buying your first sword

Some very basic info on buying your first katana, I maybe should have mentioned folded steels, Damascus etc but I will save that for another time.
A few things I said I was mistaken on like the Hanwei practical plus is made from 1065 not 1060 as one site review led me to believe, also I since found out the the hamon line on that sword is real but very faint so has been acid etched on top !!!.
Ronin, Hanwei and Cheness are not UK made they are sold in the UK by orientalweaponary.co.uk / Blades uk.
I refer to DoJo plus when its a DoJo Pro ( My god my memory is terrible lol)
There are 30 models in the Dojo Pro series and 12 in the entry series and a few of the Dojo Pro models have different length blades and some with or without a BoHI.
And my favourite Dojo Pro with the mushashi ring tsuba is a no 12 not 11.
God I am shit at remembering stuff !
Anyway I hope some of the points I raise help someone buying a first sword make a wiser decision before parting with any cash.
