NEW KOTIDO BISHOP EXPECTED TO IMPROVE TESO KARAMOJA RELATIONS

Rt. Rev. Dominic Eibu has been consecrated and enthroned as the new Bishop of Kotido Diocese.
His consecration makes him the third Bishop of Kotido Diocese; taking over from Rt. Rev. Giuseppe Filippi-upon reaching the canonical age limit.
Eibu was consecrated by His Grace Emmanuel Obbo, the Archbishop of Tororo diocese as Principal Consecrator assisted by Rt. Rev. Giussepe as Co-Consecrator at St. Daniel Comboni, in Kotido district.
The function was graced by the Vice President Jessica Alupo as guest of honour, representing President Yoweri Museveni.
The President thanked the Holy Father, Pope Francis, for appointing Rev. Fr. Dominic Eibu, to shepherd Kotido Catholic Diocese.
He congratulates the newly consecrated Bishop, Rev. Fr. Dominic Eibu, and appreciated his predecessor, Retired Bishop Giuseppe Filippi, for his commendable and selfless service to Kotido Diocese and the entire Karamoja sub-region.
