Health secretary insists Labour 'did protect winter fuel allowance' for poorest pensioners

Talking to Sky's Trevor Phillips, Health Secretary Wes Streeting defended the government's decision to means test the winter fuel payment.

He claimed that Chancellor Rachel Reeves "did protect winter fuel allowance for the poorest pensioners".

The health minister was also challenged on comments made by X and Tesla owner Elon Musk, who claimed Sir Keir Starmer failed to bring "rape gangs" to justice when he led the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
