Together with GROHE, IBM and lots of others, VOK DAMS created the award-winning and innovative digital brand experience hub GROHE X.

GROHE X (grohe-x.com) is unique in the sanitary fittings industry and enables a deep and interactive insight into the entire design and product world of the company. The experience has a Global reach and is aimed equally at architects and designers, trading partners and craftsmen as well as journalists and consumers. A virtual customer and brand experience hub for one of the leading international luxury sanitary fittings manufacturer.

The intelligent interplay of multimedia target group-specific content ensures that GROHE X lets its visitors immerse themselves more deeply than ever before in the world of GROHE. The platform offers exciting keynotes, lectures and statements in the GROHE X broadcasting area. Virtual 360° areas bring product worlds to life and provide a holistic experience.

To power the vision, VOK DAMS worked directly with partner IBM to tap into their video streaming technology. A reliable streaming service, supported from a longstanding company that is around to maintain the technology in the years to come. VOK DAMS' expertise in holistic brand experiences combined with IBM's high level of technical competence forms a strong partnership for innovative digital projects like GROHE X. The GROHE X platform runs on the IBM Cloud and is constantly being further developed in terms of concept and content. IBM contributes AI technologies such as the IBM Watson Media Live Streaming Service or automated subtitling of digital event content as well as a hybrid cloud solution.

During the launch week, there were 8 live events watched by 68,000 visitors from 140 countries – including customers, architects, designers and media representatives. The videos and live events recorded 70,000 views, all content also translated into 8 different languages. Crucially for B2B exchanges, more than 4,000 customer appointments were conducted on GROHE X, 595 registered journalists led to 263 media items, plus 29 interviews with 42 journalists from 11 markets. There were also 15 million impressions and 1.51 million engagements on Social Media.

With this platform, GROHE has access to a comprehensive communications hub. GROHE X is now the main hub for all GROHE communication and an essential element of all Global marketing efforts. It is proof of the effectives of hybrid communication and will have a lasting impact long after the pandemic subsides. “It is a Milestone in the brand history“, says Jonas Brennwald, Leader LIXIL EMENA and Co-CEO Grohe AG. “We aren’t limited to announcing big news or unveiling new trends at predetermined event times either. We have a lot of flexibility, a lot of control in timing along with the ability to scale that message to a large audience.”
