Large Family Instant Pot Beef Stew | Electric Pressure Cooker Recipes

I've shared several new large family Instant Pot recipes this week. Today I'm sharing how to cook Beef Stew in the Electric Pressure Cooker. This is a healthy and hearty large family dinner that can feed a crowd. I also show you how I can adapt this Beef Stew recipe into a Keto-friendly recipe for myself.

I will get this large family Instant Pot Beef Stew recipe on the blog. Since I'm out of town I haven't gotten it done yet. For the meantime, here's the Beef Stew electric pressure cooker recipe that I hope you enjoy!

Large Family Instant Pot Beef Stew Recipe - I made this pressure cooker recipe in my 8 Qt Instant Pot

*3 lbs beef stew meat
*4 TBS Grassfed Butter
*1 large onion
*1 lb carrots washed, and sliced
*2 lbs washed/cubed potatoes
*1 tsp of Basil, 1 tsp Thyme, 1 tsp Sage
*1 TBS of Parsley
*2 TBS Minced Garlic
*2 tsp each of salt/pepper
*4 cups beef bone broth (or best beef bone broth you have one hand)
*4 cups water

*Turn Instant Pot onto saute mode. Saute 4 tablespoons of butter and 1 whole chopped onion for up to 2 minutes.
*Add in 3 lbs of cubed stew meat and let saute for 3-4 minutes, stirring as needed.
*Add in chopped carrots and potatoes.
*Add in 4 cups of broth and 4 cups of water.
*Add in all spices.
*Place lid securely per manufactures instructions. Set valve to sealing.
*Cook for 35 minutes on manual high heat setting. Let naturally release.
