Hello guys, this time we are going to show you about The Most Unique Cemetery in Terunyan Village.
Terunyan is a Bali Aga village located on the eastern shore of Lake Batur, a caldera lake in Bangli Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Terunyan has a unique funeral ceremony tradition, where the corpse is only placed in an open space above the ground, only covered with cloth and bamboo frame called ancak, and left to rot just like that. The rotten smell of the bodies cannot be smelled due to the presence of the Taru Menyan tree around the cemetery which is believed to absorb the foul smell from the death bodies that were laid.
