[4K UHD] Baana 25 exercise - F-35A highway strip touch'n'go / approach training. The Baana 25 exercise brought Dutch Air Force to a highway base in Tikkakoski Finland. The base established on Highway 4 enabled joint training between the air forces of Finland and Netherlands. Readiness to operate out of a dispersed base network is part of the Finnish Air Force’s mobile battle concept – the Finnish version of Agile Combat Employment. Operating at road bases is part of the concept and part of the flight training for all Finnish pilots. The Royal Netherlands Air Force pilots came to Finland to learn about road base operations.

BAE Systems Hawk

The BAE Systems Hawk is a British single-engine, jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft. It was first flown at Dunsfold, Surrey, in 1974 as the Hawker Siddeley Hawk, and subsequently produced by its successor companies, British Aerospace and BAE Systems. It has been used in a training capacity and as a low-cost combat aircraft.
Jet trainer BAe Hawk entered service with Ilmavoimat, the Finnish Air Force, in 1980. Thanks to additional purchases and updates the Hawk is still in use in 2015 and will serve well into the 2030s. The Hawk has proved to be an excellent jet trainer with good handling qualities and performance.

BAE Systems Hawk on brittiläinen yksimoottorinen ja kaksipaikkainen suihkuharjoituskone. Ilmavoimien Hawkit on sijoitettu Ilmasotakoulun Hävittäjälentolaivue 41:een ja niitä käytetään pääasiassa ohjaajien jatko- ja taktisessa lentokoulutuksessa. BAe Hawk otettiin Ilmavoimissa käyttöön vuonna 1980. Baana 25

Baana 25 is the Air Force's tactical-level road base exercise, where tactics, techniques and procedures involved in operating from alternate landing sites are practiced. During the exercise, troops are trained to operate on a highway strip, to use the Air Force’s concept of dispersed operations, and to cooperate with Allies.
This time, the Royal Netherlands Air Force is also participating in the exercise with its F-35A Lightning II fighter squadron. The Royal Netherlands Air Force achieved full operational capability with its F-35 fleet last autumn.
The Air Force regularly practices operations outside its main bases so that the Air Force's equipment can be dispersed to different parts of Finland if necessary.
The final exercise of the Air Force's mass training period, JPH 1/25, was organized in connection with Baana 25. One of the main objectives of the JPH exercise is to practice the cooperation of regular personnel, reservists and conscripts. The base exercise is a combat-technical level exercise that trains troops to fight in the Air Force's operational environment at the Tikkakoski and Halli bases and in the Central Finland region. Baana trains troops in the operation of a road base, the Air Force's decentralized combat method and cooperation with allies.
The JPH exercise will involve conscripts, reservists, regular personnel and allied forces from the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The strength of the training personnel will be approximately 2,000 people at its maximum.
The flight phase of the Baana exercise will be carried out from 26 May to 29 May 2025. Highway 4 will be closed at Tikkakoski for the duration of the exercise. In addition to the Air Force's air detachments, the exercise will also involve F-35A fighters from the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
