Carl Perkins - Lonely Heart ( Demo with femenine chords)

Описание к видео Carl Perkins - Lonely Heart ( Demo with femenine chords)

From 1963, young British Rock & Roll artists such as The Beatles, The Searchers, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Les Curtis & The All Stars or King Size Taylor, to name some of the most relevant, vindicated the great American artists , which originally created Rock & Roll, and which in some cases, such as Carl Perkins, had been forgotten in their country of origin. Carl Perkins was not one of the best known American artists on the old continent, until these groups began to include his songs in their repertoires. This resulted in these great figures of early Rock & Roll being able to tour the United Kingdom and part of Europe. Carl Perkins specifically, made his first tour of Great Britain in 1964 with Chuck Berry, in fact the English promoter wanted Gene Vincent, who was quite famous in Great Britain and had already toured there before, but it could not be and at final hired Carl Perkins. Carl was not at all convinced of this tour, because he thought it would not be successful, but Chuck Berry explained that in Europe they were true idols of youth and that they awaited them with open arms. From May 9, 1964 to November 22 of that same year, Carl Perkins made a successful tour of the UK. In this tour, Perkins had two English bands as a backing group, in the first 24 dates of the tour he was backed by The Nashville Teens and in the next 30 by The Quotations. Perkins also passed through the BBC offering a live show and an interview. The tour was a resounding success and after his last concert on the tour, Perkins was invited to a private party at the home of singer Alma Cogan, where he sat on the floor, shared stories, played guitar and sang surrounded by The Beatles. Ringo Starr asked if he could record "Honey Don't" and Perkins replied, "Sure man, go ahead and do it." The Beatles not only recorded "Honey Don't", they also covered "Matchbox" and "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby", previously in 1963 they had already recorded two versions of "Glad All Over". As a culmination of his stay in the UK, Carl Perkins left us a magnificent single for the Brunswick label with the songs "Big Bad Blues" and "Lonely Heart". In this single, Carl Perkins is accompanied by the British The Nashville Teens and it shows the good harmony he achieved with the British groups, the two songs are magnificent. The theme of this clip is a very different demo from the song that would later be published, the rhythm is frenetic and more wild with female voices in the backing vocals and a different guitar solo, I don't know which of the two I like better.
