Many people asked me if I teach my bird. Well, the answer is no, not really. I tried to teach her several things and if she doesn't think it's interesting or funny she just simply will not say it. She picks up words or phrases that she thinks are funny and she will work with them for about 3 weeks. If it's a word she's learning, she will start trying to rhyme it and place it into a sentence or if it's a phrase, she'll start adding other phrases in what she knows already. So by 3 weeks she pretty much figured out the word or phrase and starts using it appropriately. Then she moves on to something else.

She may get the words and phrases off of cartoons or whatever she's watching on TV or just simply listening to us talking. I know with Cosmo if it's not funny she's not saying it. If she makes you laugh by saying it, she will continue to make you laugh harder. She truly loves to see people laugh. As her name says Cosmo The Funny Parrot And she truly is a funny parrot.
