“The Five-Armed One” refers to the functions of our soul’s energy.
“The Elephant-Faced One” represents the nature of the mind, which operates like a memory vault.
“The One with tusks like the young crescent moon” symbolizes the quality of the mind that, from birth until death, continually receives and stores experiences gained through the senses.

This movement of the mind is like moonlight, which shines by receiving its radiance from the sun; in the same way, the mind’s sensory awareness operates in the external world by drawing from the vital, dynamic intelligence of the life force within the body.
This natural intelligence exists within us as the spark of wisdom.

When the nature of the mind turns inward — instead of moving through the sensory channels — and perceives the movement of life within the body, our state can be elevated from the current low condition to a higher and nobler state.
The meditative state of humility supports this transformation.

Meditation means placing the mind in the “pundhi” (the seat of concentrated awareness). Specifically, it refers to stopping the mind at the perception of the pituitary gland, which awakens the state of higher knowledge.

In short, this verse teaches us that when the mind becomes aware of the movement of life within the body, the body, life, and mind unite — giving rise to the experience of soul-peace.
In that state, the light of the soul dispels the darkness of ignorance, and it points to meditation as the only way to attain this.
The Siddhas have declared this as the first and foremost duty of the soul.
