Dennis Robson and Janet Forest -- and their daughter, Julia -- rehabilitate birds of prey at their sanctuary, Radical Raptors, at The Heath, ten kilometres west of Plettenberg Bay, South Africa

BJ the Cape vulture was donated to Dennis by Brian Jones of the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre -- and here they are at work on a quiet Friday afternoon.

Radical Raptors aims to develop awareness for the need to conserve our birds of prey. During the sanctuary's regular displays, they show a variety of trained birds in free flight (these are all birds which can't be released into the wild). This provides guests with opportunities to see, experience, and photograph the birds in natural surroundings.

Show times: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. (closed Mondays except on public holidays and during school holidays)
