In this Video I’ve got a review of Aldi’s Old Seadog Black Spiced Rum and I’m actually going to do a quick comparison to Kraken Dark Rum, as I’d heard a lot of people tell me that this was a “Kraken Substitute”. It was the first time I’ve ever tasted it, so I had no idea what to expect. I found it was semi sweet. Plenty of Vanilla and a little citrus on the nose. I also found it tru to the label….as in the sweetness was up front and the alcohol dryness came on the finish. As a Black Spiced rum as well, well, it’s not Black. Its more deep Golden Brown. However, for £15 a bottle, I found it quite drinkable. But, is it a Kraken Substitute Rum??

How do you drink Aldi Seadog Black Spiced Rum?
Well, it works with Coke and Ginger Beer. That’s a given. But in the Video I’ve got some very fun mixers for you to try out. They make very Simple Aldi Spiced Rum Cocktails indeed. Brilliant for your Home Parties.
