• I had a dream last night about a rat and its house. A big bush was removed from the garden exposing a carefully clawed hole big enough to permit the business end of a baseball bat without the slightest bit of resistance. Basically, a giant butthole in the dirt, manicured and hospitably agape. From a rat’s perspective, this is a mansion with enough intricately networked space to house nine families and all of his favorite baubles (coated with the crystalized collection protection packrats are so famous for of course). The silver tunnel has all the shinies that the crows covet and thieve. The ping pong ball pit is recently expanded, deep and wide enough to make Chuck E. Cheese consider a new line of work. The corridor of glass chunks is a Gaudí-esque mosaic wonder of hues and forms. Suffice it to say, hIs collection goes well beyond the standard bones-and-leaves fodder the average midden holds. And when one toilet tunnel gets too full of shit, he just fills it in with dirt and moves to the next of many a pre-dug. This fat fuck has done well for himself. Weird dream. I’ll call it Rat Cribs.
• “Born in 1978, Dirt Shit could cause a pogo orgy whenever they charged the stage. The songs where fast, the guitars where dirty and the vocals where catchy and violent. In 1979 they could have had an appearance in an Austrian b-movie "Exit - Nur Keine Panik” but they where knocked out because of a quarrel with the producer(s) eventhough the songs for the movie where already recorded (Urin Sound Studios, Vienna, November 1979). After a threat to sue by the band, the movie team gave them money to cut the four songs on a 7'' (limited to 500 pieces). They only played a few gigs in Vienna and one in 1980 in Linz. The members were also active in other early Austrian punk and new wave bands (Mordbuben AG, Kleenex Aktiv and others). Drugs and alcohol resulted in the end of this band.” -Luziprak Records
