Hinduism or sanatana dharama is one of the oldest religion in the world and hindu temples(or mandir) are the place of worship for those who follow hindu religion. The symbolism and structure of a Hindu temple are rooted in Vedic traditions, deploying circles and squares. Even though the religion is closer to 4000 years, practice of building temples are around 2500 years only. Hindu temples are known for its architecture and precision sculptures. Early temples were built using bamboo sticks and stones thus getting destroyed in time, the stronger temples with great architecture started to pop up from 5th century in south asia and South east asian countries like indonesia, combodia and thailand with a mix of both dravidian and nagara architecture of india

Many of the temples have been demolished/damaged due to invasions only the remaining/still standing temples are included in this video. This video shows the newest temple to the oldest known Hindu temple. A point to note is Not ALL temples are included only some important temples with significance are included.

Some of the well known Hindu temples known for its architure are Ankor wat of combodia, prambanan of indonesia, Brihadeeshwarar temple, ellora cave and more.

NOTE: These figures are just approximate as it is very hard to date some of the temple.
