I’m lucky to have an amazing Lemon Tree producing lots of organic Lemons (That’s a reel luxury) before that I was buying them at the grocery store and I never knew what to do with all the leftover Lemon Peels.

And if you use Lemon a lot for morning shots or in cooking, you can easily have dozens of them standing on the table.

3 easy ways to reuse them to avoid waste :

🍋 Lemon Ice Cubes : Grate it into thin slices, you can either preserve them for months in a tupperware or make lemon ice cubes to add on any of your dishes

🍋 Natural Cleaning product : Infuse it during two weeks into white vinegar, dilute with water (around 20%) and you simply have a natural disinfectant to clean your home.

🍋 Lemon Salt : Dry Lemon Zest in your oven, turn it into powder and simple mix it with salt. It will add a delicious perfumed flavour.

Lemon Peels can also be fully composted. I avoid them in my worm farm because of the acidity but on a compost pile, they will be a great ally to repel certain pest 🙌🏼
