Lump Crab Quiche Recipe - Made with Canned Crab - Best Seafood DISH

This dis is so flavorful and easy to make. ENJOY!!

Ingredients:

2 - 6oz cans of lump crab meat
1 medium red pepper diced
1 garlic clove chopped
3 scallions chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 pre-made pie crust
3/4 cup Gouda cheese ( reserve 1/4 cup)
3/4 Swiss cheese (reserve 1/4 cup)
4 eggs
1 cup of half and half
1/2 cup of whole milk (2%ilk is fine)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp lemon juice


Recipe:

Open your two cans of lump crab meat drain and rinse and squeeze out all the water. Then set it on a paper towel so it can absorb the remaining liquid.
Next chop your pepper and your garlic. In a pan add one tablespoon of olive oil and saute your peppers for 3 minutes sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. After 3 minutes add your garlic and saute for 30 seconds more. And then just set it aside.
Now shred your cheese, 3/4 cups of Gouda cheese reserve a 1/4 cup. And shred your Swiss cheese and reserve a 1/4 cup. We will add the quarter cup of both cheeses to the top of the quiche before we bake. Set the cheese aside.
Take your pre-made pie crust added to a round . Grease the dish lay the pastry dough in the dish. Take a piece of foil and place in the center of the dish to cover the bottom of the dough. In a preheated oven 450° cook for 8 minutes, remove the foil and cook it for another three to four minutes. Remove it from the oven and set aside.
Now prepare your egg mixture. In a bowl add four eggs, your salt and pepper and your half and half and milk. All your cheese except the reserve cheese and add your sauteed peppers add your scallions and your crab meat, before you add your crab meat squeeze a tablespoon of lemon juice and mix it into the crab meat before you add it to the mixture and mix everything. And then go ahead and pour it into the pie crust and add 1/4 cup of your reserved cheeses and bake in the oven at 375° for approximately 35 to 45 minutes. Or until you can wiggle the dish so it doesn't move then you know it's done.
