Coordinate Systems and Spaces | 3D Graphics Overview

Описание к видео Coordinate Systems and Spaces | 3D Graphics Overview

3D graphics is really just a simulation of reality, so the first thing we need to understand is what world or environment this simulation is going to take place in. As we study 3D graphics (as with many other mathematical applications) we will use Cartesian coordinates. The Cartesian coordinate system presents a grid of perpendicular lines. The fact that the grid lines are perpendicular to each other is key, and is what makes linear algebra “linear.”

In this lecture, we will explore our linear coordinate system, as well as a few different coordinate spaces we will encounter in 3D graphics.
