This episode tells the story of a Singaporean historian who refurbished the ancestral home of Singapore tycoon Tan Kim Seng into a Peranakan style hotel. He preserved Tan’s family altar in the hotel for his descendants and established a close relationship with them. Another Singaporean businessman, who was hit by the financial crisis in the 90s, makes a strong comeback with his two sons in Melaka and become a successful property developer there.
