Governor Patrick Morrisey spoke at Oglebay on Wednesday - part of his West Virginia energy education forum and tour.

The governor met with local leaders in the community along with energy company representatives from around the country to discuss his comprehensive '50 by 50' energy plan.'

With a large amount of natural resources in the state-- from coal to natural gas to fuel and even nuclear -- Morrisey wants to bring West Virginia to the forefront and make it what he calls a 'battery for the nation.'

The goal is to produce 50 gigawatts of energy by 2050, and currently that number is at 15.
