At the time of filming, we understood him to be 19. To clarify he is 17 years old. That being said, age does not excuse language and behaviour like this. Using the excuse of age, is like saying that a woman was assaulted because of what she was wearing. It's an excuse, to direct the focus AWAY from the REAL issue. This behaviour has no place in our society. At 17 years old people should know better than to sexualize anyone in such a disturbing, dehumanizing and degrading manner. If this is allowed, with no consequences, YouTube is setting the precedence that actions like these towards others are tolerated. How many more predators do we need before we see real action, real change? We cannot have a world like this. We will not allow it. Our children deserve better. We stand by what we said in order to protect young audiences, families, the Creator community as well as the YouTube platform. We have received numerous messages from parents thanking us for being a voice for children, our most vulnerable. Age is not a factor, nor is race - it's an excuse. It's called the Ad Hominem - learning about logical fallacies is one of the best things you can do for yourself nowadays. There is no excuse for the sexualization of children. Our daughter is in the process of recovering from this mental anguish and verbal abuse. She is suffering. Life is hard enough for our children right now. Lastly, for those of you new to our family, we are Latino and proud to represent the Latino Community. Let's stop with the excuses, let's be responsible, and hold ourselves to a higher standard, for our children, and for our world. Please watch the full video.
