Perhaps the only actor to have played both a Bond villain AND James Bond himself, Toby Stephens played the vicious Gustav Graves opposite Pearce Brosnan in the 2002 Bond movie Die Another Day. Like a number of Bond villains, Graves was intended to be an evil reflection of Bond himself, and so it almost goes without saying that Toby Stephens was himself well-suited to the role of Bond. In 2008 he made his debut as the secret agent in a radio adaptation of Doctor No.

Stephens is joined in this follow-up by his co-star from Die Another Day, Rosamund Pike - Pike is a member of the slightly larger (but still small) club of actors who've played more than one Bond Girl. Continuing the trend for impressively-cast villains, Goldfinger is played here by none other than Sir Ian McKellen...

The radio adaptations have appeared in no particular order, but I'm presenting a number of them on the channel in order of chronology. So, following on from Doctor No, we now arrive at Goldfinger...

James Bond will, of course, return...
