After the long process of meetings and information campaigns on copyright protection conducted in 2012 in the regions of Georgia, the Georgian Copyright Association launched the process of licensing of public food establishments.

GCA representatives hold the negotiations with the local food business representatives and due to the positive results, the majority of the businesses purchased the copyright license.

Those minor parts of the copyright users, which rejected the licensing process, are sued. According to court decision the usage of copyright music in the form of public performance is forbidden for the above mentioned objects. In general the licensing process is ongoing successfully.
