Non-uniform bending- Cantilever

On-screen Jeya. P, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, CMS College, Kottayam

A Cantilever is a beam that is held horizontally with one end fixed and the free end loaded. When the free end is loaded what happens is that the beam starts bending. The bending is said to be non-uniform because at all points are on the neutral axis, the radius of curvature is not the same, or it is not uniform. That is why it is a non-uniform bending. In this video, we are going to find out the depression at the free end when it is loaded.
