The Rodwell Trail - Disused Railway Weymouth to Portland Causeway - Jurassic Coast

From Weymouth to Portland, the Rodwell Trail follows a disused passenger railway line, now a wonderfully, accessible wildlife corridor.

It takes you past old station platforms and Sandsfoot Castle, with lovely views out across Portland Harbour. It is part of National Cycle Route 26 which extends southward to the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy

The Trail is also great for wildlife with many birds, plants, butterflies and other insects recorded from and along the route.

Note: In case anybody wants to point out that I was going too fast or dangerously along this shared walking and cycle track - I was not. In many places this video has been speeded up and I'm always very respectful of the walkers on this route.
