Vintage Persian Heriz runner in a geometric medallion pattern set on an abrash terracotta red field color from the early 1900s. There are seven axial medallions in the field in navy, Persian blue and ivory colors connected via a line ending in a smaller medallion on each end. The border consists of three narrow borders, one in Persian blue, the other in brown and terracotta red. Interesting and very charming design items include small animal and geometric forms throughout the field and the borders. The rug is also dated 1327 in the Islamic calendar which corresponds to the early 1900. A wonderful rug that brings beauty and heritage to any space it is displayed on.
