These two Ilg's fans were found in a barn in Fillmore, CA some time ago. Fillmore is a small town on the northern outskirts of the greater Los Angeles area. The story goes that they were set up to cool a chicken coop. Who knows when or where they were originally installed, but given their weight and bulk, they likely didn't travel far. These are 50/60 cycle motors, made to operate equally well on either frequency, appropriate for the LA region which underwent a transition from 50 to 60 cycle frequency sometime in the early part of the 20th century.
