In Finnish, "kiitos" can be used in place of "please," but it's not a direct translation and mostly works in requests. For more polite questions, the conditional mood with the suffix -isi can be used, similar to "please" in English. Examples include "Voisitko auttaa?" (Could you help, please?) and "Saisinko kahvia?" (Could I have some coffee, please?). This form softens commands/requests and is commonly used in requests, offers, and suggestions.
