Dalbeattie Skills Area Re-Visit

Sorry about the extensive period between uploads. Lots of other things going on that unfortunately were a priority over the last 4 weeks.

We've not even been out riding during the lockdown due to lack of time!

This is from a while back, when we had some business in Scotland to take care of, and we managed to sneak in a cheeky ride at Dalbeattie.

Sorry about the many smushes and water drops on the camera - apparently it was the wettest day since records began!

Dalbeattie has some really nice trails, which can be very challenging and is one of my favourite places to ride.

What I really like about it is that there are 'taster loops' for both the Red and Blue Trails, as well as a pretty spread out skills area that makes use of all the natural features available.
It's the Skills Area that I'm having a ride on here. I had previously been and ridden this, but not managed many of the features, so it was great to be able to check up on whether I had improved at all (even if it was really wet)!

As I had limited time, I took a quick loop around the Blue taster loop, which is a great little introduction and has lots of optional features to try your hand at if you choose to (lots shared with the Red taster loop).

Dalbeattie is a bit of a 'must ride', in my opinion, and if you do venture into the area, the loops will give you a great idea of what to expect, or even just for a short ride with kids.
