Описание к видео Ys Origin Yunica Nightmare Mode, Guilty Fire Bosses

No I do not beat Kishgal, just leading with that. Fight was included purely for posterity, I haven't played the game enough to really know what he can even do here, though that should be evident just from watching. You can notch a win here if you get him down to half health and get a shiny steam achievement for your efforts. I'll save it for when I decide to grind through Yunica Easy Mode just to have all difficulties completed as her.

Gelaldy is a stark contrast from the Flooded Prison Bosses and honestly even the Wailing Blue bosses. There is no randomness or manipulation with this guy at all, he does everything in a strict pattern which means you can easily muscle memory this fight. Kind of a shame how this recording turned out, I got hit by a lot of things I normally dodge (Including one instance where my controller just plain didn't register a jump but that's wireless 360 controllers for you) resulting in what was probably my sloppiest performance but I still won. The only random element to this fight is when he spits out the blue fire enemies. On Nightmare he spits up a whopping 5 of these things, compared to the 2 on Hard mode. Sometimes Bolt Crash can hit all of them, but others I have to improvise. I won't go into too much detail about his patterns because the attacks should be self evident in how they work, getting better at this fight is largely just learning what order he uses them in and not forgetting that in the thick of things. What is worth mentioning is an aspect of Nightmare mode that really comes to a head here, your MP consumption is double for all your skills. In previous difficulties, it's easy to one cycle his arms by spamming Crimson Lotus Blade but you just simply don't have the MP to pull that off here. (Boost time is also half but that's of lesser importance since you hardly have good opportunities to use Boost in boss fights anyway) Fortunately, Bolt Crash is good enough for consistent two cycles, and the guard effect allows me to push through some of Gelaldy's attacks and lay on the damage, which is helpful for the cycles where you can actually hurt him directly. I did grind a little bit here, going from level 23 to 25 but it honestly didn't really help much. I still two cycled the hands, attacking the head was more or less the same, and the extra HP and defense really only bought me an extra hit. Next up is Silent Sands and hoo boy am I not looking forward to the bosses there.
