Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner | London Heathrow to San Francisco

Well, here is a first for me! This is actually my first ever time flying with Virgin Atlantic. To say they are a good airline is an understatement, definitely up there with my favourite airlines that I've flown on. The cabin crew were phenomenal, brilliant inflight service, great selection of movies and tv shows, and a great amount of legroom, albeit I was sat in Economy Delight. Having flown with British Airways many times in the past, and on a couple of long haul trips, I have to admit I prefer Virgin Atlantic!

Anyway, we start off this nearly 10 hour flight at Heathrow with quite a cloudy and overcast departure from 27L. We then continued to climb in a westerly direction towards Wales and the Irish coast. The crew did do a dinner service which consisted of Chicken and Mash potato however this wasn't to my appetite so I passed. Later on the crew came round with plenty of snacks and refreshments, including pretzels, an ice lolly and a light snack of Afternoon Tea 2 hours before arrival.

Some decent views on our descent into San Fran, but sadly we didn't get a famous parallel landing at San Francisco, and even so I was on the wrong side of the aircraft for it sadly on this occasion.
