Delhi-Dehradun Expressway - Latest updates on Phase 1 Package 1 start from Akshardham Temple in Delhi to Delhi-UP border.
This mix of brownfield and greenfield project was approved for construction in 2020 under the Bharatmala Pariyojana’s Delhi – Dehradun Economic Corridor.
The Delhi–Dehradun Expressway is a 210 kilometre long, 12&6 lane access-controlled expressway, which will connect Delhi with Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand.
It will feature elevated roads, tunnels, and a 12 km elevated wildlife corridor to enable the unhindered movement of animals.
Phase 1[Package 1 & Package 2] Information:
Start from Akshardham Temple in Delhi to Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) Interchange with 32km length constructed by Gawar Constructions (Package 1) & Ceigall India (Package 2).
Package 1 start from Akshardham,Delhi to Delhi-UP border in Delhi which consists of a 6.4 km elevated road between Geeta Colony and Khajoori Khas.It is expected to open in March 2024.Total length 14.75km.
Package 2 start from Delhi-UP Border to EPE Junction in Uttar Pradesh which consists of an 11.2 elevated section.Total 16.85km long Brownfield upgradation project constructed by Ceigall India. Total length 16.85km.
This project is being constructed in total 4 phases with estimated cost of Rs 13000cr.
- Phase 1 – Delhi to Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE)
- Phase 2 – EPE to Saharanpur
- Phase 3 – Saharanpur to Rajaji National Park
- Phase 4 – Rajaji National Park to Dehradun
The top speed allowed on the expressway will be 120 km per hour.
