In 2006, two strangers, 8000 miles apart, found themselves in the bustling cities of South Korea.

Vill went to get her master’s degree in chemistry, while Francis moved to work as an English teacher.

They would go on with their lives without knowledge of each other’s existence, until one fateful day, thirteen years later.

Vill has been working as a researcher in Daejeon since 2008 when she met Francis in 2019, who only started teaching in the city the year before.

And as Vill would say, “the rest is history.” 🙂
