I decided to play a round at the BOERA Disc Golf Course in Bailey, Colorado as they were setting up for the 2022 Match Play Championship by Discmania for the Disc Golf Pro Tour. I included a few extra holes that I played as they were setting up. They didn’t use these for the Champ course likely for flow reasons but also possibly for difficulty reasons. I hope this is a decent preview for the difficulty of the course and how an average disc golfer plays vs the pros.

I had a great day out on the mountain. It was very windy, I ran into a few pros, I threw the disc pretty well, putting however was a different story, but overall had an awesome time at this wonderful course. I am a pretty average disc golfer, I am still recovering from surgery and I’m not in the shape I want to be so I don’t quite have the power or consistency I want yet, but I felt like I threw well today for my ability. I am normally a pretty decent putter, but I haven’t been able to practice for a while and it shows. I currently throw around 370 with a max of around 420 on a great throw. With my current abilities I felt like I could only consistently birdie a couple of the holes, with maybe a couple more that I could occasionally get with some great throws. Overall though the pro selected holes were mostly par at best for me, and as you will see I went +10 on the 12 holes lol. I hope this will give some people an idea of how good these guys are. It will be very interesting to see the pros handle these holes and the altitude. I am very excited to see a major event here in the Colorado Mountains! I can’t wait to watch this weekend!

I had some audio issues so I did some voice over for a lot of the video but left in the audio that did come through. Interestingly, after my wireless mic broke, the audio directly from the Pixel 6 was actually better. This is my first round recording and editing effort so I hope you enjoy and I hope I get better at it in the future.
