The Royal Newfoundland Regiment (2013)

While the War of 1812 battlefields centred on Upper and Lower Canada, soldiers came from across the British colonies including the colony of Newfoundland. Members of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment were one of the most versatile groups of the entire War of 1812, on either side of the border. And yet, they were never given the battle honours that they should have had. The story of the Royal Newfoundland regiment and their connection to the War of 1812 is kept alive by the dedicated re-enactors who fly their regimental colours.
